Bob Donlon, Senior Marketing Manager for Adobe Digital Video and Audio, oversees all marketing activities for Adobe® Production Production Premium audio and video post-production software. Prior to joining Adobe, Donlon was a Contributing Editor for Studio Monthly Magazine. He also founded Bleecker Street Productions, a multimedia production company that handled motion design and editing projects for several broadcast, agency and corporate clients. During this time, he became very involved in DVD design and authoring, completing several feature films, TV series, and music videos.
Donlon has served as product evangelist at two companies: Media Mixer, an internet multimedia content creation software company, and Anystream, a spin-off from ICE (Integrated Computing Engines), a visual effects software/hardware company.
Earlier in his career, Donlon was Art Director of Smith Barney’s financial news TV channel, NextGen TV. It was at Smith Barney that he became an expert user of numerous graphics and editing systems, such as Adobe After Effects.
His musical career includes performing with his bands Dasher, Freedy Johnston (the opening act for Sheryl Crow’s U.S. tour), the Fifth Dimension, and Rake’s Progress, which released two albums on the Geffen Records label and toured the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Donlon attended the School of Performing Arts, New York City (the "Fame" school) as a Music Major. He received a BFA in Music Performance with a Minor in Graphic Design from the State University of New York at Purchase. His education includes Multimedia Design and Advanced Color Theory studies at the post-graduate level at the Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design.
Donlon is an accomplished speaker, having presented at numerous conferences including NAB, IBC, InterBEE, MILIA, and Streaming Media East.
